The Story:

I bought this off a friend a few years ago. He was in a bind, I needed a city car and being that it is an 02, the decision was very easy on my part to help him out. I thought this was going to be the car I'd hold onto for the rest of my life because it is so solid. With that in mind, I spent a ton of time and money making sure this car gets treated right and properly mainained. It has been kept in a garage for the past year. I only drove it when it rained ( I ride a motorcycle every day) or to the beach for surf. After getting the mechanics totally taken care of, the next step for me and this car was going to be a paint job. I was quoted around $3000 by two people. The previous owner had a cheap-o paint job and they painted over some minor rust spots in addition to some other half ass cheap-o paint job blemishes. There are some small dented or rusted areas but in general the body is solid and has NEVER been in an accident. It is a GREAT daily rider or a perfect restoration canadate. Baby girl and other economic factors force the sale. My heart will be broken the day this leaves my sight.

The Facts:

Odomoter reads about 75k... I am not sure if it is 175k or 275k. I know there was engine rebuild work done some time ago. A bay area mechanic who specializes in 02s did some compression and other tests and told me that the engine has at least 4 more years on her before a top end rebuild MIGHT be in order.
Interior carpet is in really good condition.
headliner has a few cuts and scrapes but isn't at all offensive.
It needs new tires and allignment.
Radiator and thermostat less than a year old.
Recently reinforced Sub Frame and replaced Motor mounts.
5Speed Transmission installed by myself with the help of experienced friends. Then had all mounts and shaft allignment professionally done.
Clutch OK.

All shock towers are clean with no rust.
Dash has typical cracks but not ugly in any way.
